PlumberLog was built because we couldn’t find an app that did what a self employed plumber actually needs — without the stuff they don’t.
Most job management tools on the market are designed for plumbing companies. Teams. Multiple vans. Office staff. Dispatch boards. If you’re one person in one van, you end up paying for features you’ll never open, inside software that was never designed for how you work.
We wanted something different. An app that lets you log a job in 10 seconds between calls. Track your costs and mileage without thinking about it. Generate an invoice with your Gas Safe number on site. And at the end of the tax year, tap one button and get a clear summary of what you earned, what you spent, and what you owe — without needing to export anything into a spreadsheet or pay an accountant to untangle it.

Who we are
PlumberLog is part of the NicheApps family — a small, independent company based in the North East of England. We build simple, focused apps for people who work alone: plumbers, electricians, joiners, personal trainers, podiatrists, landlords, foster carers and more.
Every app in the NicheApps range is built to do one thing well for one type of person. No bloat, no enterprise pricing, no features you didn’t ask for.
Why we built it this way
PlumberLog runs in your web browser. There’s nothing to download from an app store. You open it, sign up, and start logging jobs. It works on any phone, any tablet, any computer.
We chose this approach deliberately. App store apps need updating, reviewing, approving. A browser app is always the latest version the moment you open it. And it means we can support plumbers in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Ireland from the same codebase, with the right currency, mileage rate and tax terminology for each.
Your data is stored securely in the cloud and syncs automatically. You can sign in from a different device and everything is exactly where you left it.
