Terms of Service

PlumberLog — Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These terms govern your use of PlumberLog. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. We’ve kept them short and written them in plain English.

1. Who we are

PlumberLog is operated by NicheApps, a small company based in the North East of England. When these terms say “we”, “us” or “our”, it means NicheApps. When they say “you” or “your”, it means the person using PlumberLog.

2. What PlumberLog is

PlumberLog is a web-based tool for self employed plumbers to track jobs, log costs, record mileage, generate quotes, create invoices and produce tax report summaries. It runs in your web browser and does not require a download from any app store.

PlumberLog is a record-keeping tool, not an accounting service. The figures it produces (including tax reports and profit summaries) are based entirely on the data you enter. We do not verify, audit or guarantee the accuracy of any calculations. Always check your figures with a qualified accountant before submitting a tax return.

3. Your account

To use PlumberLog, you need to create an account with a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that takes place under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

Each account is for one person. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts for the same person.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@plumberlog.app.

4. Free and Pro plans

PlumberLog offers a free plan and a paid Pro plan.

The free plan lets you track up to 10 jobs per month, with full access to cost tracking, mileage logging, quotes and the client database.

The Pro plan removes the job limit and adds additional features including Gas Safe PDF invoices, self assessment tax reports and quote-to-job conversion. The current price of Pro is shown in the app at the time of purchase.

We reserve the right to change pricing or adjust what is included in each plan. If we make changes that affect paying customers, we will give at least 30 days’ notice.

5. Payments and cancellation

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never see or store your card details.

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time. When you cancel, you retain Pro features until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free plan. Your data is not deleted when you downgrade.

We do not offer refunds for partial months. If you cancel on day 5 of a 30-day billing cycle, you keep Pro access for the remaining 25 days but are not refunded for the unused portion.

If a payment fails, we may retry the charge. If payment continues to fail, your account will revert to the free plan after a reasonable grace period.

6. Your data

You own your data. The jobs, costs, quotes, client details and other information you enter into PlumberLog belong to you, not us.

We store your data securely to provide the service. We do not sell, share or use your data for any purpose other than running PlumberLog for you. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

You can export a copy of your data at any time using the Export feature in Settings. You can also request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.

7. Acceptable use

You agree to use PlumberLog for its intended purpose — tracking your work as a self employed tradesperson. You agree not to:

•  Use the app for any illegal purpose.

•  Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data.

•  Reverse-engineer, copy or redistribute the app or its code.

•  Use automated tools to scrape data from the app.

•  Deliberately overload or disrupt the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Availability and uptime

We aim to keep PlumberLog available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The app may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance of planned downtime, but emergency maintenance may occur without notice.

We are not liable for any loss arising from the app being temporarily unavailable.

9. Invoices and tax reports

PlumberLog generates invoices and tax report summaries based on the data you enter. These documents are tools to help you manage your business — they are not professional accounting advice.

It is your responsibility to ensure that any invoice you send to a customer is accurate and complies with relevant regulations, including HMRC requirements for VAT (if applicable) and record-keeping.

It is your responsibility to verify any tax figures before submitting a self assessment return. We recommend consulting a qualified accountant.

10. Intellectual property

PlumberLog, its design, code, branding and content are owned by NicheApps. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from any part of the app without our written permission.

The data you enter into PlumberLog remains yours. By using the app, you grant us a limited licence to store and process that data solely to provide the service to you.

11. Limitation of liability

PlumberLog is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do our best to keep it working well, but we make no warranties about its accuracy, reliability or suitability for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NicheApps is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of PlumberLog, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data or business interruption.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of PlumberLog is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Termination

You can stop using PlumberLog at any time by signing out and not returning. You can request deletion of your account and data by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, if your account is inactive for more than 24 months, or if we are required to do so by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before doing so.

If we discontinue PlumberLog entirely, we will give at least 60 days’ notice and provide a way for you to export your data before the service ends.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of PlumberLog after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

For material changes that affect paying customers (such as pricing or plan changes), we will provide at least 30 days’ notice.
